The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has pledged full access to its vast electronic resources for students and staff of affiliated health training institutions.
The move, part of a broader push to modernise teaching and learning aims to further enhance the academic experience at the Ministry of Health Training Institutions affiliated with KNUST.

This announcement was made on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor by the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Professor Christian Agyare at the 11th Graduation Ceremony of Affiliate Ministry of Health Training Institutions.
“KNUST believes in sharing. We are therefore investing heavily in digital infrastructure and e-learning systems to support blended teaching and learning across all our affiliate institutions,” Professor Agyare said.
He further revealed that KNUST has introduced block moderation exercises to promote consistency, transparency, and collaborative evaluation across its affiliate institutions. These block visits aim to offer real-time monitoring and support to ensure that academic standards and the quality of education are maintained across all affiliated colleges.
“We will continue to listen to your feedback and work closely with you to strengthen our systems, ensuring the integrity and excellence of our programmes,” he assured.
Additionally, he announced that KNUST is pleased to support the Health Training Institutions (HTIs) affiliated with the University in hosting and organising their graduation ceremonies on their respective campuses.
He reaffirmed KNUST’s commitment to providing guidance, oversight, and support to ensure that all ceremonies reflect the dignity, excellence, and academic rigour that define the University.
The Vice-Chancellor also congratulated the Principals and Tutors who have enrolled in PhD and MPhil programmes in Nursing and encouraged others to do the same if they have not already registered.
This year, 16,250 graduands from 76 affiliate Ministry of Health Training Colleges, comprising Community Health Nurses, General Nurses, Midwives, Prosthetics and Orthotics Technologists, Physiotherapy Assistants, and Environmental Health Experts, graduated under KNUST’s mentorship.
